Diana is all about meaningful connections – the kind that make life feel less like a puzzle and more like a story worth telling. Helping others navigate life’s challenges is what drives her! She believes that everyone has the potential to shine, even in the darkest moments, and being part of that transformation is what gets her out of bed every morning (well, that and coffee!). Her love for learning and working with people from all walks of life keeps her curious, inspired, and always ready for the next adventure.
Diana’s journey as a psychologist has been anything but dull. It began over a decade ago in Portugal, and since then, she has travelled through countries, cultures, and roles, collecting unforgettable experiences along the way. In 2014, she stepped out of her comfort zone and spent six transformative months in Mozambique, working on community projects that taught her resilience and highlighted the shared humanity that connects us all.
Her UK chapter followed, where Diana wore multiple hats: Counselling and Health Psychologist, Expert Witness, Trainer, and even Healthcare Assistant. She worked in fascinating, albeit challenging, environments like immigration removal centres, where she conducted psychological assessments and drafted psychological reports for court cases. On the other side of the spectrum, she supported individuals facing end-of-life conditions, helping them and their families find comfort and meaning during life’s most vulnerable moments.
These experiences have shaped Diana’s appreciation for the incredible strength of the human spirit – whether it’s in navigating adversity or embracing the beauty of life’s final chapter. What’s next for Diana? She hopes to volunteer in a refugee camp, combining her expertise in trauma-focused care with her passion for making a difference.
