Stephen is a mechanical engineer who is passionate about improving the delivery of engineering and construction projects. He likes getting things done as efficiently as possible, as well as structuring work and creating processes that are easy to understand, scalable, and flexible enough to deal with the complexities of projects. He uses the power of data to manage large volumes of work, identifying where things aren’t working so well and talking to people to resolve them.
Stephen started his career as a piping engineer, where he worked on both design and construction phases of large-scale process facilities. He went on to work in consulting for capital projects, helping clients in project reviews and digital transformation, working across multiple engineering sectors including infrastructure, utilities, and government.
Stephen has also worked as product manager for a tech start-up, where he provided industry insight, performed data analysis and helped the team develop the product vision. He previously worked for Foster Wheeler (now Wood Group), PricewaterhouseCoopers and a tech start-up Nodes & Links.
