The strive drives Sherin to upgrade the construction industry from within, not just by bringing in technology but also by improving the average skill level in the market by adapting newer technologies and simultaneously helping others to grow. He also works to streamline processes and flows to reduce the number of steps taken to complete a task, which is why he is always interested in Construction startups solving construction issues.
Sherin is a Postgraduate with work experience for eight years for contractors and consultants in Planning, Delay Analysis and Programme Reporting. Sherin worked for commercial and residential buildings and hospital buildings; the last project was Dubai Expo 2020 (What a dream of a project). He started as a planning intern with a small developer and then was placed on developing and controlling a refinery project in Kuwait. Meanwhile, he was developing a startup in India, helping bring Just in Time Procurement to the construction industry.
After this, Sherin Moved to Dubai and worked on one of the critical strategic mega projects for the UAE government, which was Dubai Expo 2020, as a part of PMC Project Controls. The privilege was to work on a construction project and then move into the operation phase, where he handled operations planning. When Expo ended, he moved into Decommissioning of the Mega Project. He was then given the opportunity to be a part of a small team responsible for the scenario planning of converting the decommissioned Dubai Expo 2020 to Expo city.
