Ben is driven by the opportunities that working in the built environment offers such as the benefits to humans, the potential for innovation and the importance to the climate crisis. He believes that engineering challenges should be approached with a holistic view of the problem, thus maximising the potential for efficient delivery, effective outcomes and exciting innovations.
Following completion of his Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Ben worked for a Tier 1 Contractor on a variety of Major Infrastructure Projects including HS2, Crossrail and the Smart Motorways Upgrade Programme. He has a passion for identifying, applying and sharing better ways of working.

• Ben has met two of his idols: David Attenborough and Louis Theroux; and that he was once featured in a national newspaper after his Austin Mini was stolen.
• Ben has a passion for music, there are very few genres that don’t get his feet tapping or his head bopping. He has a particular passion for live music events – as a typical Engineer, he has a spreadsheet to keep track of all his gigs.
• He has owned a Pink ‘80s Peugeot racing bike for almost 10 years, which he loves cycling around London.
