Richard takes pride in the wider societal benefit of civil engineering projects and is a construction professional with a strong belief that effective planning can make all the difference in driving a successful project outcome. Richard sees that programme certainty (supported by modern planning and management tools) can contribute profoundly to the improved confidence and growth of this essential industry.
Richard is proud to have contributed to a range of civil engineering projects of varying scope, scale, and profile since 2004. After completing a degree in Civil Engineering, Richard spent the first part of his career within a highways/airfield contracting division before being compelled to return to his home town of London to make a mark on the Crossrail project.
Before joining Laminar Projects, Richard was the head of planning on the Central Section (£1.5 billion Design and Build) of the prodigious Thames Tideway programme to improve the River Thames environment.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Manchester
• Richard enjoys time with the family, grilling outdoors, and the occasional sporting exploit.
* His house renovation project puts the term ‘labour of love’ to the test. It is wildly behind programme – partly due to a new found love for gardening.
