As a people person, Laura facilitates people’s ability to connect with each other so they can live their lives to the fullest. For that, she focuses on the most sustainable, effective and impactful methods, leading her to always look for new opportunities to try something different to add to her knowledge bank.
When still a child, Laura thought engineering meant building things – literally. In another life, she would have become a bricklayer, but instead she stuck with civil engineering, completing a year abroad in Spain to get her Spanish to a proficient level. As a site engineer, she has worked on big projects in the Thames Tideway Tunnel and at Heathrow airport. Venturing into the digital, her focus was within the environmental sector, creating an M365-based automated waste management system and developing and implementing a process for estimating company-wide carbon emissions.
