Joana is an ambitious and motivated person that loves a good challenge. She is passionate about innovative technologies and looks forward to updates and releases of new software that can be used to improve processes, decision making and for automation.
She loves to make a positive difference in the world, using her skills and data passion to develop solutions to help solve real life problems.
Joana started her career as a data consultant in Portugal delivering end-to-end full stack solutions for clients from a wide range of industries ranging from commercial sector to public gov. She quickly realised her talents lay in helping translate real world client problems from business requirements to rich interactive data models and user-friendly visually compelling data visualisations – thereby specialising in the Power BI platform.
While in the UK, she has continued her career, working on multiple innovative projects, refining and developing these skills further, with deeper knowledge of the Microsoft data platform and the use of wider tooling. She is especially proud of a digital twin proof of concept that enabled simulation scenarios to be run to predict the potential effect of industrial on fish populations which was awarded a global award prize by her company.

• Joana loves animals and she is a proud dog parent to Maia, an energy packed and lovely Cockerpoo. She is also a self-confessed board game geek, owning a big collection of board games.
