Originally from Porto, Portugal, Sérgio has also spent part of his life in Lisbon. Influenced by his older friends; many of whom are now software developers, he developed an early interest in computers and became a daily Linux user for several years. Although he initially pursued a career in translation and language teaching, Sérgio eventually decided to return to his roots and transitioned to a role as a systems administrator in the software development industry. One of his most memorable achievements was accidentally disconnecting an entire office of over 100 people from the internet and then quickly restoring the connection before anyone could get upset with him.
