As a recruiter for most of his career, Benedict believes that in talent acquisition, you give the organization and the people you hire to be the best version of themselves through these employer-employee encounters. Seeing the positive impact that his work has on the lives of others is incredibly rewarding, and it motivates him to continue refining his skills and seeking out new initiatives to apply in the world of talent acquisition. Ultimately, he sees himself as a facilitator of innovation and progress used in human resources to bring about the profession as something that enriches people’s lives professionally and personally.
Benedict’s career journey has varied, with experiences in multiple industries, including recruitment, banking, hospitality, BPO, and engineering. He needed to deepen his understanding of human behaviour in the workplace, which led him to pursue a graduate degree in Organizational Psychology. While studying, he initially entertained the idea of becoming an educator, believing he could use his knowledge to help shape lives and the greater good. However, as time progressed and as he delved deeper into the idea, he realized the weight of what it takes to be a good educator and the impact it has not only on students but on the future of society. Despite temporarily putting his aspirations of becoming an educator aside, Benedict remains passionate about sharing his knowledge with people seeking them.
