Back Story and Achievements

João’s expertise took shape while leading the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) team at the Champalimaud Center for the Unknown in Lisbon. Furthering his journey in construction, he managed Building Management Systems (BMS) projects at the World Trade Center reconstruction in New York with Schneider Electric for six impactful years. Transitioning to Berlin’s tech scene as a Product Leader, he played a pivotal role in the successful exits of two IoT scaleups: relayr’s merger with Munich Re in 2018 and Envio Systems’ acquisition by JLL in 2022.
